Leading fiber infrastructure provider to expand connectivity at Patriots Point
CHARLESTON, S.C., April 25, 2022 – The Charleston Battery have announced a new multi-year partnership with Segra, one of the largest independent fiber infrastructure bandwidth companies in the Eastern U.S. The partnership will provide the Battery with dedicated fiber internet access and diversity to the team’s stadium at Patriots Point and marketing collaboration between the two organizations.
“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Segra through our 2025 season,” said Battery Director of Business Development, Ryan Knapp. “We look forward to working with Segra for years to come as we provide enhanced connectivity to our fans at Patriots Point through Segra’s industry-leading services”
The partnership officially kicked off during the Battery’s U.S. Open Cup match in early April with Segra named the presenting sponsor of the club’s second-round match at Patriots Point.

The partnership is part of a larger effort by the Battery to ensure that fans and staff have a safe, secure and reliable online experience as the club expands the connected, in-stadium experience from electronic ticket scanning, to contactless transactions as well as staying connected to the Charleston Battery App and interacting with the team’s social media channels throughout every match.
