Toyota GR86 Transformation
Each GR86 starts as a complete factory vehicle before GR engineers in North Carolina transform them into high-performance race cars.
Underneath the sleek GR86 body the GR86 Cup car modifications include Bosch engine management, custom Borla exhaust, SADEV 6-speed sequential transmission, Alcon brakes, JRI adjustable shocks, OMP safety equipment, roll cage, carbon fiber rear wing, 22-gallon fuel cell, TGRNA designed MacPherson strut, Stratasys 3D printed components, a TGRNA designed splitter, and more.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the Intercontinental GT Challenge Powered by Pirelli sports car championship Oct. 4-6, in conjunction with its North American series, GT World Challenge America. High performance Toyota GR86 racing machines will take to the popular 2.43 mile, 15-turn road race circuit as part of the GR Cup racing series.

GR Cup Series
The GR Cup provides drivers and teams the opportunity to compete at some of the most iconic racing venues in North America. The single-make series, featuring the Toyota GR86, made its 2024 debut at Sonoma Raceway in April, next heading to the Sebring International Raceway and Circuit of the Americas in May. Virginia International Raceway is next up in July followed by Road America in August. Each event weekend will consist of two races, with the season being 14 races in total.
This signature spec series showcases the full power and potential of the GR6. Most importantly, the GR Cup was designed to celebrate car culture and motorsports by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

Alex Sedgewick to Drive #44 Segra GR Cup Car
Alex Sedgwick, has built a diverse racing career encompassing karting, GT cars, prototypes, single-seaters, stock cars, and touring cars. Licensed as an FIA International Grade B and ARDS Grade A driver coach, he has competed in prestigious series such as the Porsche Carrera Cup North America, where he earned multiple podium finishes and set a lap record at Laguna Seca.
In 2022, Alex took a break from racing to work as the European Operations Manager for a luxury travel company, eventually joining PT Autosport. His role involved promoting development opportunities for aspiring talents in motorsport. Returning to racing, he competed in the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, achieving impressive results, including a podium finish in his debut GT car race.
